SIKKIM RUN- STATE MARATHON
The Service to Mankind is a congregation of enthusiastic, energetic, dynamic and dedicated youths moving towards making and being the change we want to see in our society and community; following which we are into organizing a plethora of community based activates which concerns environment, health, social awareness, youth empowerment and also provides platform for nurturing the untapped talents in the society.
In order to help in sensitizing the society for healthy living, we have been organizing a marathon event entitled “SIKKIM RUN: Run for a better tomorrow” since 2014. Formerly, we organized this event under the banner of ZEST. however, since 2019we have continued this activity under the banner of Service to Mankind.
Sport is a passion among every age group of people. Marathon, as a sport has always helped people to divert the focus in the productive and beneficial thing. Instead of just conducting a competition, connecting it to the theme, always brings awareness and also a sense of social responsibility towards the happenings. No man wants bad, just that the right direction is a dearth. This theme based marathon is like a lighthouse to every such individual who can be a part of it in various ways in order to create and spread this awareness.
We, are responsible for ourselves and we are responsible for the society we live in. We are the one who have to be the change, that we have foreseen. Therefore, the “SIKKIM RUN: Run for better tomorrow.”
Objective of the Event:
- the major objective is to sensitize the population about Health/Physical Fitness/Mental Fitness, Tourism, Social Awareness, Unity in Diversity.
- To sensitize every individual regarding their social responsibility by associating with the pertaining social and health issues. The youth belonging to this group are socially conscious and they try to burn the candle instead of complaining about the darkness. It is indeed heart – paining to know that the small state like Sikkim has also been polluted by such social crimes.
- To attract the tourists and help in the flow of tourists. Since the entry level for this event is even outside Sikkim, indirectly this event catches the attention of the Tourist and make them also the part of the event. This event has had very good impact on the tourist flowing to Sikkim during the November month. Therefore, indirectly this event is also helping develop Tourism Sector.
This theme-based marathon run is organized every year with an intention to create awareness and spread a social message among the citizens.
“Sur Sandhaya”
“Sur Sandhaya”is a musical event our team organizes quarterly. Through his event we tap the musical talent of our youth friends and veterans. We organize musical nights with melodious rendition of gazals, bhajans, songs etc.
Through the upcoming sur Sandhya Project, we are intending to raise funds for various charitable workto be undertaken by our organization.

Objective of the Event:
- Through this programme we are raising funds for upcoming social event and project to purchase (ambulance/hearse van).
- It is a Musical Platform provided to the budding artistes and veterans in the field of music in order to foster their talent and passion and at the same time help them groom their talent professionally.
- To enhance peer learning and shadow training in the field of music where veterans and immature meet together to share the platform.
- Through this programe we are able to entertain audience by performing musical rendition for all those music lovers and create an impact in their hearts.
- Through this programme we would like to raise the funds for social activities our team is undertaking.
